Raw Comedy 2024

Comedy fans - Australia's largest and most prestigious comedy competition, Raw Comedy, is taking over HOTA on February 25, 2024. 

RAW Comedy happens in every capital city in Australia and in some regional centres between January and March annually.

Butting comedians are encouraged to register online for the heat and perform a five-minute spot of new, original comedic material. The best acts from the heat will progress to finals. 

The National Grand Final is held in the Melbourne Town Hall as a feature event of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and the winner receives a trip to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, where they’ll have a chance to compete in the popular UK stand-up competition So You Think You’re Funny?
