Black Dingo Cafe
Coolangatta
Black Dingo Cafe sits perched underneath the Point Danger lighthouse on the cusp of Coolangatta and Tweed Heads, with some of the most spectacular views to be had anywhere on the Gold Coast.
The treasure of a pet friendly cafe literally straddles the border of Queensland and New South Wales, with dress circle views of Durangbar Beach and the Tweed River from the spacious deck which juts out from underneath the lighthouse.
Patrons can take a seat out on the deck or in the sun-filled glass encased interior, with bifold doors opening onto the deck to take in the stunning ocean vistas.
Come for the view, stay for a coffee and spot of brunch, with a tasty menu that includes bacon and egg roll, smashed avo on toast and acsi bowl or house signatures like stuffed Portobello Mushroom and Lamb Shoulder or Pork Belly Baguette.
Other signatures include La Bella Foccacia (prosciutto, buffalo mozzarella, confit tomato, onion, wild rocket and fresh pesto) and smoked salmon or Moreton Bay bug bagels.
Drinks-wise, along with coffee, chai latte, hot chocolate and loose leaf pot of tea there's an extensive array of smoothies as well as cold pressed juices, iced tea and soft drinks.
Good to know - Pooches are welcome to join their owners at Black Dingo Cafe, and be treated to Hugo's doggie ice-cream and puppaccinos.
Need to know - Walk-ins only, no bookings taken. There is an offstreet car park adjacent or onstreet parking nearby.
Before or after brunch, take a walk on the stunning Coolangatta to Point Danger Oceanway.
