Flotsam Festival

This dynamic event, part of a two-week journey across the Gold Coast, promises an exhilarating blend of surf film screenings and captivating photo pop-up events that span from Burleigh to Coolangatta. 

Organised by the not-for-profit association Flotsam Arts Inc., this festival was born from the determination of local filmmakers and photographers in 2022, seeking to uplift the creative and tourism communities amidst pandemic challenges. 

Embracing the region's rich surf heritage, Flotsam offers a unique platform for filmmakers and artists to showcase their work through exhibitions, workshops, and more. Join the festivities to support local talent, boost economic activity, and celebrate the iconic beaches and surf culture of the southern Gold Coast.
